That's A Bit Racist
Sunday 7 July at 8.30pm on TVNZ 1
How racists is Aotearoa? Racism is difficult to discuss – and yet we know Kiwis have lots of opinions on the subject. What happens, though, when the emotions are set aside, and we test the science and mechanics of how judgement and prejudice work?
The results will make some people uncomfortable but there are also plenty of laughs in this audit of kiwi attitudes to multiculturalism.
Amongst the insights from researchers, psychology experts and sociology boffins and those who have survived the school of hard knocks, Harvard University also adds another layer with a test built to try and quantify how racist we are.
