Sunday Theatre: A War Story
Sunday 25 August at 8.30pm on TVNZ 1

In 1997 Osama bin Laden declared war on the USA.

Pulitzer Prize winning CNN correspondent Peter Arnett embarked on a mission to locate and interview him.

Asked by Arnett, "What are your future plans?", Bin Laden said, "You'll see them and hear about them in the media, God willing".

On the eve of 9/11, Arnett flew into New York City to stay with his daughter. The next day he watched in horror as the towers collapsed; his mind recalling the interview and bin Laden's veiled threat.
