What? Based on Joseph Heller’s satirical 1961 novel, Catch-22 is the story of the incomparable Captain John Yossarian – a U.S. Air Force bombardier in Italy during World War II. He’s furious that thousands of people he’s never met are trying to kill him. Yossarian tries many ways to leave the army - including claiming insanity - but is blocked by a hilariously sinister bureaucratic rule called Catch-22.

Why? This is one of the most hotly-anticipated shows of 2019, thanks mostly to George Clooney who produces, directs and stars. This high-calibre series, which expertly mixes satire with drama, will not disappoint!

Who? It’s not just all about George! The series also stars Hugh Laurie (The Night Manager), Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights) and Christopher Abbott (Girls).

What? Adnan Syed was convicted of the murder of his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee in 1999, but he has always maintained his innocence. Now filmmaker Amy Berg re-examines the case brought to global attention by the popular podcast Serial.

Why? As well as re-telling Syed’s story for newcomers, The Case Against Adnan Syed opens its own investigation into the case, uncovering new evidence and following Adnan as he navigates the appeal process, ultimately aiming for a re-trial. Think you know everything about the case? Think again.

Who? The series is made by Oscar-nominated director Amy Berg, who has already tackled weighty topics in her documentaries West of Memphis and Prophet’s Prey.

Who? Morven Christie plays the complicated Lisa, an actor you might remember from popular British dramas like The Replacement, Grantchester and The A Word. The series also stars Robin Hood and Ripper Street star Jonas Armstrong.

Who? Kent Briggs is the host and lead investigator in this incredible case. He was there at the Whirling Brothers circus with his brother Gareth on the day the lions escaped, and the question of who killed Lucy the performing poodle has consumed him for 30 years.
