Negan and Lucille in The Walking Dead.

1. He’s a legitimate psychopath.

Negan commits evil every day with a smile on his face.

He’ll rip your heart out and then laugh like a maniac moments later.

2. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is mesmerising.

He brings the comic book villain to life in a spectacular way.

3. His sidekick is a baseball bat.

'Lucille’ (the bat wrapped in barbed wire), is Negan's weapon of choice.

However he personifies her, and loves her like he would his first-born child.

He’d be more sad about losing Lucille than he would any of his human companions.

4. He lives for mind games.

Messing with people is Negan's favourite hobby.

5. He doesn’t take sass from anyone.

Not even children, apparently.

He makes an example out of Carl. “Well pardon me young man. Excuse the sh*t out of my goddamn French but… did you just threaten me?”

Mixing manners with vulgarity, classic Negan.

6. He gives a great compliment though.

If Negan admires you, he’ll tell you, even if you’re an enemy.

To Sasha, “You’ve got some beachball-size lady-nuts on you, coming in all kamikaze like that.”

7. He loves a good pun too.

“It’s because you got no guts. Ohhh how embarrassing, there they are. They were inside you the whole time.”

After he literally ripped Spencer’s guts out…

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, as Negan.

8. He’s honest.

Even though he’s a terrifying dictator, he’s okay with revealing his own fears.

“Kid I ain’t gonna lie, you scare the sh*t outta me.”

9. His metaphors are colourful and accurate.

“I just slipped my d**k down your throat, and you thanked me for it.”

Meaning: You might not realise it, but I own you now (Rick).

10. His heart is stone cold, truly.

When we were all a mess over Glenn’s death, he was busy taking pride in his creativity.

“Wow! I just popped your skull so hard your eyeball popped out!” RIP Glenn.

11. He’s vile, but he gets away with it.

Somehow, the despicable things he says are always (reluctantly) respectfully applauded.

Season 8 of The Walking Dead premieres Monday 23 October, same day as the U.S.

We’re betting that we’ll be seeing much more of Negan, and we’re totally okay with that.
