Eru enjoys working for Te Karere at TVNZ's Wellington news bureau.
He's lived in the capital since 2004 and previously was a news presenter and a journalist at RNZ for nearly 12 years.
Whanganui is his hometown and his iwi: Te Ātihaunui ā Papārangi. He started his broadcasting career there as a 5th former in 1991 on Awa FM and worked in iwi radio for 10 years.
Being based in the capital Eru is both a political and regional reporter for Te Karere having only just joined the team in January 2016.
Eru also has a big interest in international indigenous stories as well.
