Six new Warriors will get a run this week including Leivaha Pulu and Peta Hiku in a strong and new look Warriors side.

Kearney believes this side is one of the fittest squads to date, following on from a brutal preseason regime.

“It's an opportunity for the guys. You know we've got a number of players, probably seven or eight players not playing this week, who, you know, will obviously get a run next week in the trial against the Titans. You know, this week is about the guys that are going out there to put their best foot forward and you know, they've worked hard all pre-season, you know to get out there and compete for a spot."

The Warriors will be playing the B team of Melbourne Storm in a preseason match this weekend.

The game in Rotorua kicks off at 3 pm on Saturday,
