The school holidays are in full-swing and rangatahi Māori from around the country are putting their business minds to the test.

Te Wero Pakihi is a holiday programme aims to upskill the next generation within the business world.

Air New Zealand has come up with a business challenge for this year’s Te Wero Pakihi. They have challenged the rangatahi to create a training resource or training material to help Air New Zealand staff pronounce and engage with te reo.

The challenge is being funded by Māori Women's Development Inc with the rangatahi being housed at Awataha Marae for the week, to learn about business, and to also discuss te reo Māori.

On Thursday the students will pitch in groups to Air New Zealand representatives.
