Tauranga whānau hopes Budget 2018 will include promises to families
The Labour-led government is promising to deliver more to families in its first budget.
And according to Tauranga based Nicole Mika, a mother of four, more for families is definitely needed as living costs, especially in big cities, continues to skyrocket.
“The budget for families I guess there is a lot of things that could improve to help our situation.”
Nicole and her husband Tapene Mika have four boys, three under the age of six.
She has two weeks left of maternity leave before she returns to work.
Although she says the government need to think about the leave given for mothers who have just given birth, she knows there are other families who are struggling more.
