Sole survivor of Waverly crash in critical condition
The whānau of Ani Madams, the sole survivor of a horrific car crash that left seven people dead, gathered at Wellington Hospital yesterday.
The car Madams was travelling in claimed the lives of her two children and husband.
The four elderly occupants of the other vehicle were all killed making it the worst car crash in 13 years.
A local kaumātua has blessed the site where the accident happened near the town of Waverley.
The local fire chief who attended the scene says it;s a tragedy that will be hard to forget.
