Netsing - the online singing competition attracting thousands of applicants
An online singing competition covering the huge expanse of Oceania is attracting Māori talent both here and abroad.
Ngāpuhi man Jody Ruka is behind the venture which he launched last month from his base in Gold Coast, Queensland.
Will you be the next thing?
That's Netsing's motto and it has resonated with over 300,000 people across Oceania. Among them, of course, are Māori.
Representing so far are Ruki Stephens, Jayde Jansen, Te Ahikaaroa Maxwell-Topia, Krystal Shaw, Chloe "Klow" Romana, and Tama Brown.
The top five will be chosen by public voting and then a panel of three judges will select the winner of the competition on July 6.
