Member of iconic NZ reggae band passes away
A member of iconic NZ reggae band, Herbs, has passed away.
Thomas Nepia died after battling pancreatic cancer.
Nepia along with the other Herbs members were inducted into the music hall of fame in 2012.
The vocalist and percussionist known for his trademark shades are remembered for being at the forefront of the music industry for close to 40 years.
Nepia was scheduled to be taken to Ruapotaka Marae, Glen Innes yesterday afternoon.
Today his body will be taken to lie in state at Te Kauri Marae, Huntly.
