The Silver Ferns have arrived back in the country following an embarrassing defeat at the hands of the Diamonds.

The Silver Ferns were smashed by the Diamonds in the final game of the Four Nations.

It's their fifth consecutive loss to the Aussies.

It's not looking good for the Ferns. They only have the Taini Jamison series left before they compete in the Commonwealth Games, where they're set to play Australia and England again.

But NZ coach Janine Southby isn't ruling out dropping some players for the Comm Games.

“A couple of calls with the national selection panel over the coming days. We'll be looking hard at all our players that are eligible from the development squad, from the Silver Ferns squad, and all of the results and performances over the last six to eight months and making that call.”

For the next few weeks, it’s back to training and it's back to basics in the hope the Silver Ferns will come back stronger.

The Taini Jamison series starts on the 21st of March, and the Ferns are set to face off with Jamaica, Malawi and Fiji.
