Easter road toll begins
A crash in the Bay of Plenty yesterday morning marked the first death on our roads during this year's Easter holiday period. One person died in a crash at Tirohanga shortly before 11 AM. It comes as New Zealand's roads have been packed with cars heading out of main cities for the holiday break. Scenes in Auckland this morning showed cues lining the southern motorway. The Easter road toll opened yesterday afternoon and will end on Tuesday.
