Cyclone Fehi causes delays
The aftermath of tropical cyclone Fehi was felt throughout the country yesterday.
In the South Island, the west coast was battered with severe winds and flooding.
Schools were closed and locals were advised to travel only if absolutely necessary.
Meanwhile, in Nelson, two women were caught on camera being swept off their feet as a massive storm surge barreled over a road during an interview.
The North Island didn't escape the wrath of Cyclone Fehi with road closures and numerous flights out of Wellington and Auckland delayed or cancelled.
MetService has issued severe gale warning and heavy rain warnings for many parts of the country.
