The Black Ferns Sevens have returned back home following their stunning world cup wins against France over the weekend. 

These golden girls now able to rest following a successful year with their recent win at the 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens and the Commonwealth Games in April.

The valuable strikers in the NZ Black Ferns Sevens team that defeated France 29-0 in the final, were Ngāpuhi descendant Portia Woodman and female player of the tournament Michaela Blyde.

The team will have six weeks off and resume training in hope to then claim the 2019 HSBC World Rugby Women's Sevens Series title that kicks off in Colorado, October.
