One of the biggest professional fights for NZ boxing will pit two outstanding Māori boxers against each other.

Shaye Brock, of Ngāti Porou and Rongomaiwahine is one of the contestants and says he's a man hell-bent on revenge.

He’s preparing to fight Bowyn Morgan in the Super Welterweight division and says that while Morgan has a lot of skills, he is training hard to counteract them.

Brock adds that it won’t be the first time the two have met in the ring.

He’s also got experienced trainer Henry Schuster in his corner, who says this is fight the boxing community is really excited for.

“This fight has been trying to happen in the last three years. Both boys can punch that’s why people want to watch it. It’s just a matter of who’s going to bring their A game on the night.”

Although Brock is the New Zealand professional boxing champ for Super Welterweight, Morgan holds the IBO Oceania belt which he will put up for the contest held in a months’ time.
