Alien Weaponry is back with new song ‘Kaitangata’
Since their debut, Alien Weaponry has taken the music world by storm with their unique Māori heavy metal fusion that's earned them an international record deal.
Alien Weaponry's new song and the video clip is out.
The song is called Kaitangata and true to its name explores the musket wars.
The band which includes Lewis de Jong, Henry de Jong and Ethan Trembath were in Auckland celebrating their manager Niel de Jong with his win at the Music Managers Awards and the award-winning manager and father also happens to have inspired the song.
Another highlight for the band was getting to explore their link with Te Arawa and Ngāti Hinekura will well know kaihaka from the area featuring in the video.
But the time has come for Alien Weaponry to go further afield with their first ever international tour with Napalm Records, a first for the band from little old Waipū.
They are set to jet off to Europe in July, taking their message to the world.
