Soana K joined the team in 2010 after having lived in London for a number of years and has a background in both the Finance and Airline industries.

Born and educated in Auckland, Soana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication majoring in Radio and has a certificate in Journalism.

Soana wears many hats in the department, coordinating multimedia content and assisting in production for the team as well as reporting.

While working for TVNZ Soana has worked on a number of projects including the Samoan Sports Awards 2010; Polynesian Blue Pacific Music Awards 2011 (nominated for an AFTA award); the 2012 Pacific Music Awards; the first NZ Pacific Island Sports Awards and the funeral of the late King Siaosi Tupou V in Tonga 2012; and in 2014 covering the SID's conference in Samoa

Proud of her heritage, Soana’s father is from Kolomotu’a and late mother is from Kolofo’ou, Tongatapu.
