The Biggest Moments from Week 3
The third week on Survivor New Zealand saw tribes divided, alliances challenged, and an emergency evacuation! Here's what went down.
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
1. The third contender was eliminated...
Ex-army veteran Tony was considered one of the game’s most well-equipped players.
However, he played the game by his own rules, and this got him sent to Redemption Island early on.
In a tense duel between Tony and Izzy, the youngster came out on top, meaning Tony was sent packing.
He departed with a threat, aimed at those who betrayed him.
2. Lou had to leave the game...
Lou was Survivor New Zealand’s youngest competitor, and perhaps one of the most promising.
Her game ended with a stroke of bad luck, when a cut on her foot turned deadly.
Knocked for six, Lou had to be transported out by medics, and that was the last we saw of her.
Thankfully, she’s made a full recovery, but we’re gutted that we won’t get to watch her progress!
3. The tribe switch...
Just when alliances were beginning to strengthen, the game was turned on its head.
Mogoton’s dwindling numbers meant that the tribes were no longer balanced, which called for a redraw.
Some of the strongest players found themselves on the other side of the fence, and Hermosa’s “Tight 5” alliance was split down the middle.
4. Shannon was sent to Redemption...
Shannon was left out in the cold, when she pulled the singular black Buff out of the bag at the redraw.
With no tribe to go to, she was sent straight to Redemption Island, for 24 hours of isolation.
This was a major disadvantage, taking away crucial bonding time with her new tribe.
5. Georgia was left to fight alone...
Georgia found herself on the outer too, when her alliance was scattered at the switch.
Without Mike and the others by her side, Georgia became vulnerable and exposed in the new-look Hermosa.
She pled her case at Tribal Council, but it was too little too late.
