Where were you born?

Hamilton (Waikato Hospital)

Where did you grow up?

Raglan and Morrinsville as a kid and Hamilton as a teen. Beach, country and city.

How long have you been acting and how did you get your first big break?

Not long enough yet. I’d say the thing that sparked my passion was when I first stood on the stage at the globe theatre in the UK which was 2009 for the NZ Young Shakespeare Company.

What is your acting background and previous acting parts?

I started in theatre but I’ve always know that screen is for me.

-Totes Maori

-Nothing Trivial (tele feature)

-When We Go To War (favourite so far)

-Other Side of Heaven 2

-800 Words

-Filthy Rich

I think they’re the main ones and then some really great passion projects that my friends and I have done one most recently called Smoko which is a web-series and a short film in Australia called The Hunt.

Do you have any acting qualifications or did you jump straight in?

I studied at Toi Whakaari in Wellington… And many fibs before that.

What are your hobbies?

I’m a bit of a home body so love anything I can do at home. Gaming, working on my bike (it's vintage so something always needs to be fixed), making films and hanging out with my little boy.

Name three similarities between you and your onscreen character.

We both love our jobs. I like what Lincoln wears. He likes robots and I like robots.

What has been your best experience/scene on the show to date?

Just getting the chance to act and hang with some of my old mates from Wellington/drama school. Also making little skits with the boys are fun. Some content should be dropping in the not too distant future.

If you weren’t an actor, what would you be?

Something to do in the field of psychology - it's still on the cards for sure.

What is your favourite place to travel?

Space. I know I’ve never been there, but space.

What star sign are you, and do you believe in horoscopes?

Taurus - yeah, I guess I do.

Do you have any pets?

Yeah, we have Winston the British bull dog. He’s is a bulldozer. He features in most Instagram photo and stories.

Who is the actor or actress that you were most excited to work with?

The OG, Michael Galvin.

What has been your favourite scene to film in your time at Shortland Street?

I don’t want be a down buzz but the death scenes.

What would be your last meal if you were on death row?

I think the more important question is why am I on death row???

What is your favourite film of all time and why?

At the moment it’s Florida Project, that changed my whole outlook on film making.

Which other actors/actresses do you hang out with most between takes?

Reuben, Jayden, Tane and James most of the time. I also room with Ryan and Grant. These guys are showing me the ropes!

Can you remember your first day on Shortland Street – what was it like?

Yeah. My heart was beating pretty fast, but as soon as the first take was out of the way it was pretty smooth sailing the rest of the day. And Geoff, one of our directors, definitely eased me into it.

And I took my character watch home...
