Which teams are playing when?

The opening games are all set, but as the competition moves into the playoffs, we can’t say who’s playing until the results come through.

We certainly hope our New Zealand teams go all the way! For the latest schedule, go to the official page of Rugby World Cup Sevens 2018.

We’re bringing viewers the tournament live as it happens in San Francisco. Please note, play stoppages for injury or interruption may affect scheduled start times.

Why can’t I catch up on all events OnDemand?

Our Rugby World Cup Sevens 2018 effort is focused on live event coverage. Select games will be available OnDemand: specifically, all New Zealand team games, as well as all semis and the final.

We’ll offer you other ways to keep up to date. 1 NEWS NOW will carry extensive coverage – our sports team will be live blogging every game, and we’ll feature short video highlights and match reports.

And the best of the event action will feature in a special highlights programme screening on DUKE on 25 and 28 July at 1.10pm. This two and half hour programme will also be available on TVNZ OnDemand.
