Para snowboard includes the banked slalom and snowboard cross events.
Para snowboard was first introduced at the Paralympics as part of the alpine skiing events at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.
It will be held as a single sport at the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games.
A total of 10 events will be competed, including snowboard cross and the banked slalom.
Snowboard cross (SBX)
Snowboard cross is a discipline where the paralympians race on a course with terrain features such as banks (berms), rollers, spines and jumps.
Qualification runs have one competitor on the track at a time while finals have 2 competitors per heat.
Banked slalom (BSL)
Banked slalom is an event where the athletes race on a course with banked turns.
All competitors take three timed runs. The best timed run out of three determines the final results.
