Host Sophie Monk

If you watched the original, British version of Love Island, this show will need no introduction. But we'll go ahead and do it anyway.

A group of hot singles, known as ‘Islanders’, move into a luxury villa in Mallorca, Spain and must immediately couple up based on first impressions.

Then the aim of the game is to stay in a couple or risk elimination.

Along with heated arguments, fiery dramas and steamy hook-ups, the Love Island Australia weather forecast predicts intense levels of flirting, gossiping, laughs and love triangles.

For six weeks they are under 24/7 video surveillance as new singles arrive and cause havoc in the villa. Will they stick with their original match or ‘re-couple’ with someone new?

The Islanders will also put their perfect bodies to the test when they go head-to-head in a series of intimate and exposing challenges that will reveal how well they really know each other.

At the end of the series, the winning couple is handed a pot of money to start their new lives together, but there's a catch: one is given the chance to share the money or walk away with it all for them self.

Were they really in it for love or money?

Required dress is swimwear all day every day and, hopefully, an aeroplane-load of SPF 50.

Taking on the hosting duties is none other than Australian singer, actress and model Sophie Monk.

The former member of Bardot is no stranger to finding love on TV. She starred in the 2017 season of The Bachelorette Australia.

On Love Island Australia she’ll witness the Islanders’ raunchy antics first hand. “They won’t be censoring anything,” Sophie told NW magazine.

Each episode screens in Australia within 24 hours of being filmed and TVNZ OnDemand will be bringing you the new episodes express. So we’ll be right there with the Islanders as all the action happens!

Love Island Australia premieres Monday 28 May on TVNZ OnDemand.
