Space we transformed: Master bedroom

Retro-lovers Sarah and Peter's 1957 bungalow has barely been touched since its heyday. It's filled with lots of cool art and oozes their own personal style and although they love it, it was feeling a bit tired. Sarah has been recovering from concussion after a serious car accident and has had to learn to speak again, so Melissa wanted to create a sanctuary for both her and Peter where they could retreat and relax.

Wanting to keep with the retro theme which Sarah and Peter so obviously love, Melissa gave the master bedroom an upmarket retro vibe which was brave and bold. Feature wallpaper, flowing sheers and a custom designed bed head and side tables were accented with pendant lighting, new linen, a soft rug under foot, plus some beautiful artwork and accessories.

Sarah: "We're not used to this much beauty!"
Peter: "Thinking about how unloved this room was's just amazing."
