  • Maureen's designer bedroom

Spaces we transformed: Master bedroom and toilet

On the eve of her 70th birthday Maureen handed over the keys to her home which has seen four generations of her family come and go. Celebrating her first birthday without her late husband Stan, we wanted to surprise Maureen by turning her bedroom from drab to fab, and create a relaxing sanctuary that is just her own. It was also a great opportunity to take care of the adjacent toilet which was so small the door wouldn't close!

The whole room was painted and new wallpaper hung. Fresh new curtains and blinds were put up, along with new lighting to soften the room. Dion custom built a wardrobe door and new furniture was brought in. The whole room was tied together with throws, cushions, artwork and accessories to create a truly beautiful new space for Maureen.

The feature of this fabulous new room - the Samsung Frame TV which blew her socks off!

"I absolutely love it. It's beautiful. The colour, it's just peaceful - it's stunning," says Maureen.
