Spaces transformed: Kitchen, dining and living room

Solo Dad Atlas has a self-confessed unfinished DIY habit, and on first glance around his 1990's brick home which he shares with son Mattias, we can see the evidence. From kitchen cupboards that have been taken off but not replaced, to the tarpaulin/sheet combo covering the couch this firefighting Dad has run out of time, energy and ideas to fix his place up.

The crew demolished the existing kitchen and fit it out with a brand new pre-made kitchen including island table from BML. Melissa chose some masculine yet stylish accessories from The Warehouse to complement the colour scheme and they installed brand new Samsung appliances throughout.

In the lounge Dion built a new TV cabinet to hide the myriad of wires from the entertainment unit. The whole space got a fresh coat of paint and the boys now have a comfy couch to chill out on and a proper dining room table to share meals at.

What the boys had to say about the HOMEmade fix up: Mattias, "Even when you go into a hotel and it's like a really flash one - it's like that." Atlas, "It's five star right here. I'm totally in love with the kitchen. If I was looking through a magazine I'd say, 'That's the one I want.' I just can't believe they pulled it off in the time they did."
