Born and raised in Surrey, London, Kyle Pryor emigrated to New Zealand in 2006.
Since then, he has generated a successful career as an international actor.
From a young age, Kyle had a keen interest in the performing arts. He began learning various aspects of performance, beginning with dance styles tap and ballet, and circus skills such as juggling. He also began playing the drums in various rock bands.
He's also trained in scuba diving, learning firearms techniques, and performing on stage.
His varied pursuits set a solid foundation for a future in the TV and film industry
After arriving in New Zealand, Kyle sought on-set work, and began filming with the stunt department.
Kyle’s breakthrough came in 2009 in the hugely popular series Spartacus Blood and Sand, playing the character Marcus. This was followed closely by NZ production, This Is Not My Life, and ABC’s Legend of the Seeker.
It was also in 2009 that he was awarded Most Extraordinary Performance in the 48 Hour New Zealand Film Festival Competition, for his portrayal of Alex Puddle .
Kyle has since worked on popular shows such as Go Girls, Nothing Trivial, Auckland Daze, The Blue Rose, and 2013 feature film White Lies.
He gained his New Zealand Citizenship in late 2012. After living and working in Auckland for six years, he is now based in Sydney where he is currently playing the role of Dr. Nate Cooper on Home and Away.
