Emily starred on Home and Away for 10 years (1989-1999), before returning to Summer bay in 2009.
During her time on the show, Emily also appeared in eight pantomimes in the UK, playing characters such as Snow White, Cinderella and Goldilocks. In 2000, Emily permanently relocated to England where she worked on a diverse range of shows.
Her work on the highly successful British soap Emmerdale, earned Emily a BAFTA nomination for Best Actress. She was also nominated a number of times in the Best Actress and Sexiest Female categories at the British Soap Awards and the Irish Soap Awards.
Emily was a regular panelist on the daily chat show Loose Women, and appeared as a regular guest on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
Emily also appeared as a special guest on hit shows The X Factor, The Sharon Osborne Show, Alan Titchmarsh Show, Today with Des and Mel, The John Daly Show and more.
In January 2007 Emily joined the line up for Torvil and Dean’s Celebrity Dancing on Ice. Emily's bubbly personality and sense of humor were a hit with the show’s 12 million viewers.
Emily moved back to Australia in October 2008 and started filming on Home and Away in late 2009. On arrival she was met by some old friends and familiar faces in Summer Bay.
