The Heartbreak Island title song "Heartbreaker" was written especially for the show, by one of NZ's most renowned producers, Nic Manders.

In the past Nic has worked with some of the industry's national treasures, including Brooke Fraser, Stan Walker and Katchafire.

The song was co-written by Luke Oram.

The duo wanted to create a track that captured the essence of the show: love, lust, the thrill of the chase, exotic sun-soaked islands, and uncertainty in the first throes of romance.

On the vocals, adding a true sense of magic to the track is X-Factor finalist and singer-songwriter, Finlay Tate.

Finlay has a power-house voice, and attitude to match. She was hand-picked by Nic, an easy choice for him having had the pleasure of working with her on X-Factor

The fun and flirty opening sequence is packed with bikini-clad girls and super-hot boys.

It shows them frolicking in the crystal-clear waters of Fiji, messing around in the pool, lounging in hammocks and enjoying all that their tropical paradise has to offer.

The perfect teaser for the sizzling romance and betrayal to come, all set against the backdrop of one of the catchiest songs around.
