After episode 1, we got a sneak peek ahead at all the guest stars coming in Doctor Who season 11 – and the list is out of this world!

Already confirmed by the man himself and now in the new teaser video, The Good Wife’s Alan Cumming will appear and reportedly play Scottish monarch King James I. This is Cumming’s first time on the show and he told the podcast Homo Sapiens he was excited about the role.

Comedian Lee Mack had also previously confirmed he would guest star in the new series, telling Radio 4’s Loose Ends show that he “harassed” the Doctor Who team until he got a part. “I’ve just been a fan all my life,” The Not Going Out star says.

The upcoming second episode, titled The Ghost Monument, has a line-up of guest stars including Cold Feet’s Art Malik, Killing Eve’s Susan Lynch and Broadchurch’s Shaun Dooley.

Other season 11 celebrity guest stars include:

-Mark Addy, who played Robert Baratheon in Game of Thrones.

-Coronation Street actors Julie Hesmondhalgh and Shobna Gulati. Hesmondhalgh has also worked with Jodie Whittaker and showrunner Chris Chibnall before when she starred in the third season of Broadchurch.

-Downton Abbey stars Siobhan Finneran and Phyllis Logan. Logan also stars in the drama series Girlfriends.

-Revenge star Josh Bowman, who is English despite being well known for playing American Daniel Grayson in the revenge drama.

-Ben Bailey Smith, better known as comedian, rapper and actor Doc Brown. He has appeared in the drama Brief Encounters and the second series of Taskmaster.

-Trust Me actress Lois Chimimba.

-Sherlock and The A Word star Vinette Robinson.

-Happy Valley’s Shane Zaza.

-The Level’s Suzanne Packer.

-And none other than Sex and the City’s Mr Big, Chris Noth.
