Three Questions We Have Ahead of Season 3
The last time we saw the Turners and the residents of Weld, they were in the midst of some pretty serious drama.
The critically acclaimed Aussie and New Zealand co-production, 800 Words returns Wednesday 11 October at 8.30pm on TVNZ 1.
In our excitement for its return, we've jotted down three burning questions that we want answered in season 3!
Warning: spoilers ahead for those who haven't seen the season 2 final!
Who is the father of Jan’s kids?
Earlier in the season it was revealed that Jan was pregnant with twins. Only complication is that there are three potential fathers: her ex Steve, George and Zac.
Understandably all three of the men are interested to find out if they are the father, and quite frankly so are we!
Jan’s water broke at the end of the season, so there is no doubt in our minds that we are going to find out sooner rather than later.
What was with Woody’s instant regret?
In one of the cutest exchanges we’ve seen in the show, the expat lovebirds Woody and Tracey surprised themselves by getting engaged, while clearing the dinner table.
Tracey unable to contain her excitement, declares that a glass of champers is in order, and she’ll have to call her mum of course.
While she’s flying through the house, Woody continues cleaning up. He suddenly pauses, deep in thought, before calling himself an ‘idiot’.
Could it just be that the laid-back, surfer we love isn’t ready to settle down and just got caught in the moment?
Or is there something else going on that we’re yet to find out about?
Will the boaties be okay?
Zac and Steve had spent a bit of time together, on account of the fact they both could be the father of Jan’s baby. Joined by Ike, they were off on a fishing trip.
The last we saw of the trio, they were pushing a tinny out to sea.
It had already been stated earlier in the episode that the seas were rough, when Woody stopped Hannah from going out into the surf. It looks as though things have only got worse.
In the final moments of the episode, George received a call from Constable Tom, trying to find out if Ike was with Shay. We then follow the Turners as they rush to the beach late at night.
Tom stands there waiting, Zac’s boat in front of them upside down on the rocks. The three men are nowhere in sight.
No doubt we'll be returning to Weld in the midst of a search and rescue effort, but will they be found alive?
