Watch: 'Suicide bomber' blows himself up in exercise at Singapore airport

"Gunmen" and a "suicide bomber" were part of the passenger experience at Singapore's Changi Ariport in the early hours of Tuesday morning (October 17). 

The Singapore Police Force (SPF), together with Changi Airport Group, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, Singapore Armed Forces, Singapore Civil Defence Force and other agencies, were conducting a counter-terrorism exercise in the airport's departure area of Terminal 3 when "shots" were fired a "bomb" went off.

The exercise was part of Singapore's Police ongoing efforts to test and validate a multi-agency response to possible terror attacks in Singapore.

Actors used blanks and pyrotechnics in their simulations while onlookers stood behind cordons.
