Supermodel Gigi Hadid has shown off some serious self-defence skills after a man grabbed her from behind trying to pick her up when she was leaving a fashion show in Milan.
The 21-year-old model is in Milan for fashion week and was leaving the Max Mara show she strutted in yesterday, when the incident occurred.
As she was making her way to a car with her younger model sister Bella, a man believed to be prankster Vitalii Sediuk, picked her up from behind, giving her a huge fright, and she then had to fight him off, reports Daily Mail.
Gigi took to twitter after the incident to defend her actions after the media said she lashed out.
"I'm a Human being - and had every right to defend myself," she wrote.
In the video taken of the incident Gigi can be seen stopping to take photos with fans while heading to a waiting car, where the prankster appears to be lingering.
Gigi even thanked her boxing coach on twitter and thanked fans for backing her side of the story.
"Girls, prepare yourselves so that, if you ever eel in danger, Muscle memory can fight back for you. Thank you all so much for your support."
The Ukrainian media personality, Mr Sediuk took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the incident.
"By doing this I encourage fashion industry to put true talents on the runway instead of well-connected cute girls from Instagram," he wrote.
