November 15, 2017

A cruise ship entered Sydney Harbour this morning with a huge rainbow flag pinned to its front deck in support of Australia's same-sex marriage vote.

The 'yes' result to same-sex marriage was announced this afternoon, with an overwhelming approval of 62 per cent in a voluntary survey.

Passengers on board the Golden Princess cruise ship can be seen waving rainbow flags on the front deck on the boat as it pulled into the harbour before the announcement.

The boat, carrying 2,600 is due to depart to New Caledonia this afternoon according to the Daily Mail.

A majority 'yes' vote was recorded in 133 of the 150 federal electorates across the country, the Australian Bureau of Statistics announced in Canberra.

Every state and territory recorded a majority 'yes' result bar NSW, which returned less than 60 per cent approval.
