A Buddist temple slid slowly into floodwaters amid the cries of locals watching the aftermath of Myanmar's monsoon rains engulf the golden pagoda.
The moment of the surreal sinking was captured by the temple's abbot U Pyinnya Linkkara last week, the International Business Times reported.
He told Reuters the villagers are scared after the rains this year caused a high amount of erosion, with riverside villages washed away.
"The flooding has now decreased, but erosion continues."
The temple was built in 2009.
