Four teenage girls celebrating schoolies had to be rescued after drifting into shark-infested waters near Phillip Island, Victoria.
Saltwater fisherman Alex King was "in the right place at the right time" on Tuesday when he spotted the girls riding inflatable unicorns, two flamingos and a dinosaur to take photos for social media, he told radio station 3AW.
He said the girls were "floating helplessly into the western entrance current" and needed a helping hand in waters where great white sharks have been spotted.
"The wind blew them slightly offshore and the western entrance current picked them up and started taking them out to Bass Straight," said the fisherman.
After more than an hour two fishermen pulled the young women to safety.
