Turkey launches attack on US-backed Kurdish forces across Syrian border

The bombing killed at least nine people.

Turkey has begun an attack on US backed Kurdish forces across the border in Northern Syria.

Turkish jets bombed more than 100 Kurdish militia targets in the Afrin region, killing at least nine people.

Ground forces have also cross the border.

The Kurdish group played a key part in the battle against Isis in Syria, but Turkey regards them as terrorists.
