Thousands of protesters gathered near State House in Harare today to call for Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe to stand down.
The demonstrators angrily chanted and carried banners calling on Mugabe to step aside as they surrounded the leader's official residence.
Former war veterans minister Tshinga Dube, who was present at the rally, said they would send "the old man (Mugabe) away as early as tomorrow."
While Mugabe lives in a private mansion elsewhere, State House is where official functions are held.
It is where negotiations have taken place for the departure of Mugabe.
He remains under military house arrest and is said to be resisting efforts to step aside.
