Australia's biggest city is still in the grip of extreme weather and this time it's not just the heat.
Sydney suffered more than 4,500 lightning strikes this morning, causing blackouts for thousands of homes and businesses.
The explosive storm is also bringing torrential rain and falling trees.
More stormy weather is set to hit tonight as well, as the wider region deals with on-going heatwave temperatures in the mid to high thirties.
