Switzerland's Army to provide female recruits with women's underwear

March 31, 2021

It’s hoped the move will encourage more women to join the country’s armed forces.

Females who join Switzerland's military can now wear women's underwear.

The trial begins next month and will provide two different sets of underwear for women for warmer and colder months, BBC reports.

Currently standard uniform issued to recruits only includes men's underwear.

It's hoped the move will encourage more women to join the country's armed forces.

Currently women make up 1 per cent of the country's armed forces with the goal of boosting that 10 per cent by 2030.
