Study findings starting point for treatment of autism

A study conducted by the University of Cambridge has found that your personality dictates your taste in music.

Scientists investigated two personality types; those who are more empathetic versus those more analytically minded.

They found that empathisers preferred mellower music such as soft rock, jazz and R&B.

While those who were more analytic enjoyed intense music like punk, heavy metal and hard rock.

The group believe their findings could lead to studies for autism by using music as a framework.

They say people with austism have a lower level of empathy and could extend the research by seeing if music would increase it.
