A 62-year-old mother from Lugo, northwest of Spain, has presented her new baby girl to the media.
Lina Alvarez told reporters waiting outside the hospital that it was "impossible to be happier" as she showed off her baby, also named Lina.
Baby Lina was born on October 10, weighing 2.38 kilos, but due to the mother's advanced age the hospital took the precaution of keeping her admitted for seven days.
The birth was brought forward a month due to the mother suffering a high blood pressure problem.
Alvarez will be breastfeeding and giving her new baby bottle feeds.
In an El Pais article, Lina is said to have received a fertilisation treatment alongside a donated embryo.
