Solar orbiter set to give earthlings unprecedented view of the sun

A space mission launching next week is set to give earthlings an unprecedented view of the sun.

The solar orbiter will take never-seen-before images of our star's North and South Poles.

It will take images from closer to the sun than any spacecraft has before.

Temperatures will reach 500 degrees however it will take years for the instruments on board to feed back results.

The solar orbitor is currently scheduled for lift off from Cape Canaveral at 5pm tomorrow.
