Right royal controversy as reporter labels new prince 'another porker' on live TV

April 24, 2018

A SKY News presenter in the UK has stirred up some right royal controversy after she labelled the new prince "another porker" during a live TV cross from outside St Mary's Hospital today.

Kay Burley was talking about the announcement of Kate Middleton and Prince William's healthy 8lbs 7oz baby boy when she blurted out the remark which has drawn criticism on social media.

"Thank you! It's a boy, it's a boy - we're all very excited," the presenter said before another reporter pointed out the baby's birth weight.

"It's another porker, again!" Burley then said.

The comment was quickly rounded on by those on social media who were not amused by the statement.

"Did I hear that right Kay burley just call the the arrival of the prince as 'another little porker'" Barry Tinto tweeted.

"Why does Kay Burley keep saying the #royalbaby is a 'porker' and a 'beast'???? 8Ib is average nowadays for babies," another viewer wrote.

"Kay Burley said he was a porker which I thought was rude," an angry watcher commented.

The baby was delivered about 10pm last night, New Zealand time.
