A young boy had a lucky escape when a massive bolt of lightning smashed into the ground just next to him in a small Argentinian town.
The incident happened during a storm, when the 12-year-old, who lives with his family in the city of Posadas, was being filmed by his mother holding an umbrella under an overflowing drainpipe.
The boy then moves into the middle of the yard still holding the umbrella when the thunderbolt strikes the ground near him, emitting a fiery aura into the air.
Mother, Carolina Kotur, explained to local media what happened and why she was filming.
"I started filming because I was making a joke, and right next to him the lightning struck," she said. "Thank God, nothing happened to him."
The footage has had nearly one million views since being posted onto YouTube yesterday.
According to reports from The Sun newspaper in the UK, not everyone was so lucky, as two men were killed by lightning in a town 110km away.
