Shocking footage has emerged showing the moment a large ferry plows straight into a small yacht in Sydney Harbour on Saturday.
Video taken by a passenger on the ferry was obtained by 9 NEWS and shows the vessel heading straight for the back of a yacht before it begins to turn.
The people on the yacht seem to be unaware of the pending disaster as the ferry passengers realise what's happening and scream out in horror.
"Oh my god," one passenger repeatedly shouts as the vessels collide with a loud bang.
According to 9 NEWS three people were taken to the hospital from the yacht with various injuries.
The captain of the yacht was also thrown overboard but escaped unharmed.
Police are still investigating and have yet to determine how the accident occurred.
