Raw: New police bodycam footage shows terrifying moments after shooting began in Las Vegas

October 4, 2017

Las Vegas Police have released portions of body camera footage recorded after the shooting by Stephen Paddock began.

Officers were recorded hunkering down behind a low concrete wall as repeated volleys of gunfire ring out.

They can be seen warning people to "go that way" - away from the Mandalay Hotel where the gunman was holed up.

Paddock, 64, carried out the deadliest mass shooting in US history on Sunday night (local time) when he fired shots from a room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

The victims were among 22,000 attending the Harvest 91 country music festival.

The current death toll stands at 59, with 527 injured, including 50 in a critical condition.
