Raw: Brave stewardess replaces window panel after it pops out on Air India flight, as sobbing passenger watches on in terror

April 23, 2018

Intense turbulence injured three people and knocked a window panel off an Air India flight on Friday, only a day after a US woman died when she was partially sucked out of a Southwest Airlines plane window.

Dramatic footage of the incident was captured by a passenger and posted to Facebook, showing a female flight attendant replacing the window panel in the packed 787-Dreamliner flight from Amristar to Dehli on April 19.

A crying woman next to the window is seen sobbing in the video, with the brave stewardess doing her best to comfort the passenger after replacing the window.

The violent turbulence hit the aircraft for a full 15 minutes as it climbed to its cruising altitude, with three passengers needing hospital treatment upon landing.

The incident came after Jennifer Riordan, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, was killed when an engine exploded on a Southwest Airlines flight over the US on April 18.
