The actions of quick-thinking passengers helped save a man from serious injury after he became stuck between a train and the platform in Perth.
The man, identified as Ish, 21, told Nine News he "zoned out" causing him to slip between the train and the platform.
He was stepping off a train at Stirling Station yesterday morning when his foot slipped through the small gap, trapping his leg.
"[Other passengers] were fast about it, pressed the emergency button and stopped the train," says Ish.
Firefighters had to remove the rubber step to free him which took more than 30 minutes.
Ish came away from the incident with a minor leg injury.
