Meghan Markle's close friend and fellow actress Priyanka Chopra has declared the future royal hasn't changed a bit since her engagement to Prince Harry, and says "people talk a lot of crap" about her friend.
Appearing for an interview on popular US talk show the Rachael Ray show, Priyanka was asked whether Markle was "still normal" now she has been thrust into the world spotlight.
"She is! She's such a girl's girl. I've known her for three years now," Priyanka said.
"I'm so happy for everything that's happened to her because I really feel like she's one of those female icons that you know could be a strong idol for young girls around the world because she really cares about the world," the actress continued.
Even though they were separated a lot, Priyanka said her friend still has time to text.
"She still texts a lot, which is great."
Priyanka also recently appeared on the Jenny McCarthy Show where she was asked if the negative press about Markle and Prince Harry's relationship affected her friend.
"People always talk crap. Listen, haters gonna hate.
"I think, eventually public people are also human beings, so it hurts, of course it hurts.
"Sometimes when you're sitting at home, at night or in the morning, you'll have a moment where you're vulnerable, where you'll feel judged."
Priyanka went on to say Markle deals with the "haters" by focusing on her accomplishments.
Thomas Markle Jr shared the letter with In Touch where he warns Harry that Meghan had shown "her true colours".
"As more time passes to your royal wedding, it becomes very clear that this is the biggest mistake in royal wedding history," Thomas Jr wrote.
"Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you."
Thomas Jr claimed their father wasn't invited to the wedding and was struggling financially after being laden with Markle's debts.
